How to request that your high school transcript be sent to a college, university, scholarship committee or some other authorized public agency:
- Make sure that Ms. Boothe, LASA registrar (Room 281) has a RECORDS RELEASE FORM signed by parent/guardian on file. Parental consent is necessary for the release of the transcript. Forms may be downloaded here or picked up in the registrar’s office. Click here (Word Format) for records release form.
- Transcript requests for ALL colleges and universities will be submitted through the student’s personal Naviance website. Transcripts may also be requested through Naviance for scholarships or special academic programs. To request transcripts:
- Access your personal Naviance website (contact Ms. Kocian at jamie.kocian@austinisd.org) if you need your password reset
- Click on the Colleges tab
- Click on Colleges I’m apply to
- Add to this list the colleges/universities you plan to apply to
- Click on request transcripts and select the schools to have a transcript submitted
- After you have submitted your transcript requests through Naviance (for ALL schools), you must still pay Ms. Boothe, LASA Registrar, in Room 281. Your transcripts will NOT be sent until the processing fees are paid. Your first 5 transcripts are processed free of charge; after that, each transcript processed will cost you $2.00. Checks should be written to LASA High School. Remember to submit your transcript request and make proper payment in plenty of time (at least 3 weeks) before your deadline to ensure receipt by the college.
If you have questions, please contact Paula Boothe, LASA Registrar, at paula.boothe@austinisd.org or at 512-414-7081.
For students requesting transcripts to Common App schools:
For those students applying to schools who accept the COMMON APPLICATION, please keep in mind the following points to ensure that your transcripts and recommendations are processed through Naviance without mishap.
Before a transcript can be sent on your behalf to a Common App school, you must:
1) Add your colleges to the 'Colleges I'm Applying To' section in Naviance AND make sure that these schools are also added in your application at commonapp.org
2) Complete the Important Privacy Notice in the 'Colleges I'm Applying To' section in Naviance:
- Choose DO waive (choice preferred by colleges) or DO NOT waive access (to recommendation letters)
- Click on the checkbox allowing LASA to release academic records, i.e. transcript
- Enter your CommonApp.org user name and password
***Because Naviance links your transcript to the counselor recommendation letter and Secondary School Report, your transcript will NOT be sent to your colleges/universities UNTIL all of the counselor forms are uploaded to Naviance. All Counselors will complete CommonApp forms and written evaluations on your behalf through Naviance. To ensure that all of these documents are received BEFORE your deadlines, you must give your counselor plenty of time to complete their recommendation letters.
